Getting to the Santa Ynez and Lompoc Valley regions is easy. Located within California's Central Coast in northern Santa Barbara County, Solvang is just 35 miles north of Santa Barbara, 125 miles north of Los Angeles, and 35 miles south of Santa Maria. The region is easily accessible via Hwy 101 at the intersection of Hwy 246. Hwy 154 connects to Santa Barbara over the Santa Ynez Mountains, offering a beautiful and scenic drive.
Parking is FREE everywhere throughout Solvang, including RVs and tour buses. Amtrak offers daily service to Santa Barbara, with connecting Amtrak Thruway Motor Coach service to downtown Solvang. The local Santa Ynez Airport (IZA) is a publicly-owned facility for private aircraft with general aviation services. The larger Santa Barbara airport (SBA) offers commercial flights as well as corporate and private service.
